BFGoodrich Tires Announces the Expansion of Its Outstanding Trails Program

BFGOODRICH in collaboration with Tread
Lightly!® and United Four Wheel Drive
Association (UFWDA) is expanding its program
for 2007 to include Whipsaw
Trail in British Columbia. Each
trail is awarded the honor
based on its uniqueness, terrain
type and enthusiast
following. Launched in 2006,
the Outstanding Trails program
is dedicated to the
responsible use and preservation
of off-road trails while
aiding in trail conservation
efforts.
BFGoodrich will host events at:
• Redbird State Riding Area (June), between Greene and Sullivan counties, is Indiana’s only OHV facility, with over 600 acres.
• The Rubicon Trail (June) near Lake Tahoe, one of America’s wildest off-road trails takes off-roaders through such obstacles as Devil’s Post Pile, The Box, and Million Dollar Hill.
• Tillamook (July), in northwest Oregon, has some of the best off-road trails in the region. The trails including Browns Camp, Jordan Creek, Trask and Diamond Mill, provide challenges and excitement.
• Poughkeepsie Gulch (August) a scenic trail in the San Juan Mountains of Colorado should be left to only the most experienced off-roaders.
• Whipsaw (September) is a trail from the Hope-Princeton Hwy in southern British Columbia, to the village of Coalmont. Once used as a mining road, today offers offroaders an opportunity to explore alpine meadows and icy lakes, surrounded by sawtooth peaks.
• “All Day Sucker” at Flat Nasty (October) is an obstacle paradise and offers over 800 acres of mountain terrain in Jadwin, Mo. Large rock formations, steep hills and rocky creek beds are a perfect mix for off-roaders looking for a challenge.
The BFG Outstanding Trails program works with many off-road clubs that work to keep trails up and running. UFWDA and Tread Lightly! are teaming up with BFG to be a part of the program.
BFG will also present a grant to a selected offroad club at each trail event to help with costs.
