BETTER F-150 HANDLING WITH ENERGY SUSPENSION POLYURETHANE Energy Suspension makes a complete line of performance polyurethane components for the ’97-02 F150 2WD and 4WD pickups. If you’ve been working your truck hard, it might be time to replace the soft rubber bushings and mounts with Energy’s durable Hyper-Flex polyurethane. Energy’s engineers have developed front control arm bushings, front sway bar bushings, rear leaf spring bushings, and body mounts to tighten up your suspension for better performance and longevity. The suspension bushings provide more precise handling and cornering stability, while the polyurethane body mounts assist in reducing body roll. The stability offered by the firmer polyurethane bushings also contributes to a great improvement in control under braking and while towing. EXPLORER PRO COMP GM IFS KITS Explorer Pro Comp has been producing their number one selling GM IFS lift kits for the last decade. Since the introduction of the new GM trucks in ’99, they’ve improved and refined every GM IFS lift system they produce. Explorer Pro Comp offers 6-inch lift systems for ’88-04 GM 1500/2500 pickups and SUV’s that use one piece crossmembers constructed from 1/4-inch thick laser cut steel for ease of installation and maximum durability. The use of upper-control arm drop brackets maintains factory track width; allows the use of factory rims and tires; and avoids the awkward appearance associated with most GM spindle lift systems. Enhance the performance of their suspension system with front multiple shock kits*, rear traction bars and stainless steel front skid plates. Their recommended maximum tire size is 35x12.50 on 8-inch wide rims with a backspace of 3.5 to 4.50-inches. (Note: *A maximum backspace of 3.75 -inches is required for use of multiple front shock on ’88-99 K1500s). For more tech info contact 800-776-0767 or check out www.explorerprocomp.com.

FABTECH ’99-04 GM K1500 4WD 6” SYSTEM Fabtech’s Silverado Performance System provides a full 6-inches of lift via one-piece cast drop down steering knuckles attached to heavy-duty, 1/4-inch thick, high arched lower control arm crossmembers. The front differential is relocated at the proper angle to allow use of the factory front driveshaft for vibration free operation. The relocated front differential is positioned up high in the arched crossmembers and heavily protected by an integrated 1/4” thick steel skid plate. The stock upper control arms and steering centerlink are retained in the factory location and do not have to be removed for installation. Fabtech’s steering knuckles are designed to use the stock spare tire. The front suspension is completed with billet sway bar links, crossmember impact struts and torsion bar brackets. Rear lift is handled, using a 4” block kit and 2” add-a-leaf with rear bump stop brackets. For more tech info contact 909-597-7185 or check out www.fabtechmotorsports.com.

SUPERLIFT’S NEW 6” LIFT FOR H2 FITS UP TO 40” TIRES The new 6-inch system for the Hummer H2 enables owners to reliably raise their trucks to fit up to 40-inch tall tires without adversely affecting ride quality. Bracketry is made of heavy-duty 1/4-inch thick steel. Features such as a full-width differential/control arm crossmember for lateral rigidity provide the strength to withstand normal off-road abuse. Optional crossmember kicker braces add extra front-to-rear strength. To maintain factory suspension and steering geometry (retaining stock ride quality), this kit’s bracketry lowers all critical OE components 6”. Its centerlink stabilizing link also helps maintain factory handling. All brackets are finished in durable, black powdercoat, and CNC laser cutting ensures smooth, consistent edges. This kit levels the H2’s rear in one of two ways, depending on whether the vehicle has coil springs or airbags. Superlift’s preset, longer-than-stock coil springs include all necessary hardware + shock-relocation brackets. For rear air-suspension H2s, machined aluminum spacers that allow factory airbags to be retained are included. All H2 systems include four Superlift Superide shock absorbers; upgraded Bilstein high-pressure gas-charged shocks are optional. Other add-ons include a stainless-steel brushguard-style skidplate, a steering stabilizer and the TruSpeed speedometer recalibrator. This kit requires using a replacement front driveshaft, which is available separately. It’s backed by Superlift’s limited lifetime warranty. For more tech info contact 800-551-4955 or check out www.superlift.com.

EDELBROCK REAR PANHARD ROD Designed for the H2 and other GM trucks, this new tubular panhard rod compliments Edelbrock’s new spherical ball lower trailing arms. The improved design resists unwanted flex and twisting, keeping the axle properly located under the chassis for improved cornering and drivability under all conditions while maximizing rear suspension travel without bushing bind for a superior ride. Panhard rods include greasable-fluted polyurethane bushings for lasting durability. The panhard rod is applicable for 2003-04 Hummer H2, 2001-04 2WD and 4WD Tahoe, Suburban. FABTECH DUAL STEERING STABILIZER SYSTEM ’01-04 GM C/K1500HD/K2500C/K2500HD, HUMMER H2 Fabtech’s advanced Dual Steering Stabilizer System for GM 8-lug IFS 2 and 4WD vehicles provides increased steering control when running oversized tires and wheels. Unique to the Fabtech steering stabilizer system is the mounting location of the two specially valved cylinders to each of the outer tie rod ends. By mounting the stabilizers as close to the tires as possible, via the outer tie rod ends, tire shimmy is controlled and reduces impact loads to the stock idler arm and pitman arm. This system is compatible with 6 and 8-inch Fabtech suspensions. For more tech info contact 909-597-7185 or check out www.fabtechmotorsports.com.

RANCHO BOLT-ON MULTIPLE SHOCK KITS Serious off-road enthusiasts and owners of other hard-working light trucks and SUVs can now enjoy the increased steering precision and enhanced rebound and damping performance of Rancho multiple shock systems. These bolt-on systems, available for several of their most popular suspensions typically retain the original, single shock in its current position while adding the benefits of two additional Rancho Shocks per side. Multiple shock kits now available include these models equipped with Rancho 4-inch suspension:

1999-2003 4WD Silverado/Sierra 2001-2003 2WD and 4WD Silverado/Sierra Systems include four Rancho Shocks and easy bolt on “hoop” design.

2000-2003 4WD Ford Excursion; 4WD F-250/F-350 Super Duty System features easy bolt-on bracket that replaces the original upper shock mount for a total of two shocks per side. Add-on shocks sold separately.

1988-1998 Silverado/Sierra 4WD 1995-1999 Tahoe 4WD models (2-door/4-door) Systems retain original shock in stock position, adding two shocks per side. With easy, bolt on “hoop” design. Add-on shocks sold separately. For more tech info contact 734-384-7804 or check out www.gorancho.com.

TOYOTA TACOMA... “WITH A TWIST” Skyjacker’s Platinum Series Coil Over Conversion 2.5-inch Tacoma lift adds a new ’twist’ to your Toyota Tacoma’s off road performance. This upper mounting bracket design allows the coil over to pivot or rotate smoothly through the whole travel cycle. The Platinum Series Coil Over Shock, a Skyjacker exclusive, has a heim-style spherical rod end at both the upper and lower mounting positions. This eliminates the inherent problems of other ‘stem-style’ shocks: top shaft leverage that leads to coil binds that can bend, overstress or even break the shaft. Each Softride® coil spring is CNC wound, made of 5160H alloy material, shot peened and preset solid to eliminate settling. The Platinum 2.5-inch Coil Over Lift fits 1995.5 to ’03 Toyota Tacoma models, both 4WD and 2WD Pre-runner’ models and 31” tires.
